WELCOME TO THE JAMES BLAIR STATUE

james blair statue.jpg

This statue of James Blair was created in 1993 by W&M art professor, Lewis Cohen, as part of the Tercentenary observance of William and Mary. A half-scale plaster model of the Blair statue can be found in the first floor of James Blair Hall. Cohen stated that this is not supposed to be a realistic statue, but just gives a senses of Blair’s complex nature and personality. We also own two 18th century oil portraits of James Blair. To learn more about James Blair, visit the Great Hall.
