The way that we talk about black history is often spread out during tours, since our desire is to emphasize that enslaved people had ties to every room and every aspect of this building. This is something we must acknowledge and will continue to acknowledge. However, we do not pretend to have all of the answers - much of our history is still unknown. What we present here is what we have access to at this time.
